Gaining access to a complete set of healthcare services is confusing,, time-consuming and often expensive. In general terms, the healthcare sector caters for people who are seeking to address one aspect of their health - whether that is a physical aspect (i.e. a gym, a physio or personal trainer) , a mental need (i.e. a GP or a counsellor), or a dietary need (i.e. a nutritionist). Across this healthcare landscape, there are very few organisations that have been designed to take a complete look at a person’s health and offer an integrated set of services that promote that individual’s well-being, and where the focus is often on the cure and not the prevention. The local healthcare market does not have any organisations that can offer the long-term services required to support a person’s physical, mental and emotional needs.
Even those with the best intentions find it difficult to navigate the confusing landscape of services provided by health centres, gyms and the NHS.
meeting the need.
On a personal level, I feel really humbled and empowered to be able to create something like at1.SPACE. I feel that I have the tools, the capability and the support to create a difference to people. It is important that we have organisations that focus on helping people develop sustainable lifestyle choices that have a positive impact on both them and the communities around us. It is important to me that I create leadership roles for women in at1.SPACE so that they can build their own success stories.
at1.SPACE is a new kind of health-centric organisation that seeks to make it easy for people to access a wide range of well-being services to support their own and wider community needs.
