Mumtaz and Yasmin

Hi yogis! Hope you are doing well and staying safe.

In today’s blog post we will be discussing all things ‘hygge’.

What is hygge?

Hygge is the Danish and Norwegian word for the mood of coziness and feeling of wellness, and the art of creating a nice atmosphere.

It encourages you to relax, forget your worries and chill, producing happiness and reliving stress. Reading a book by the fire, snuggling up in a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and meditating are all ways you can add a little more hygge into your life.

Hygge is particularly appreciated in the winter months, as it embraces the cold and dark nights, encouraging you to create your own light and warmth during these times.

Meditation is an essential part of relaxation, which is an essential aspect of hygge, and something we can teach at at.1SPACE. In particular, our head.SPACE and at1.NIDRA classes will create a feeling of complete relaxation, easing stress and leaving you feeling positive during the dark, winter months.

Our head.SPACE class creates space both physically and mentally to explore moments between the breath and the heartbeat, expanding your meditation toolbox.

Our at1.NIDRA class teaches Yoga Nidra, a powerful technique for controlling your body’s relaxation response. It can be as restorative as sleep, whilst remaining fully conscious.

If either of these classes sound like perfect ways to add a little hygge to your life, go to our website to book now!

Stay safe yogis!
