This post is all about our Yoga Teacher Training programme starting spring 2021! We wanted to cover your questions and queries but if you still have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact us through the website, Facebook, Instagram or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why choose the at1.ACADEMY?
Your teachers, Mumtaz and Yasmin, have a bond stretching over 5 years. Together, they offer you a wealth of combined knowledge and experience to enhance and empower your yoga journey. In the passing down of their knowledge, their aim isn’t to create duplicates of themselves. They believe there is only one you, and will encourage students to develop their own style of teaching. Not only will you have the opportunity to shadow our teachers and help them deliver their classes during your training but post-graduation you will have the opportunity to teach your own yoga class to our at1.SPACE community. With Mumtaz and Yasmin’s support, the at1.ACADEMY is the perfect place for you to train to be a yoga teacher!
What are the course requirements?
The only requirements are that you are able to dedicate the time required to the training and your practice, and that you are eager to learn!
How many hours is the course?
200hrs spread over ten months.
When does the course begin?
The course begins Spring 2021. The second cohort will be in September.
Am I ‘too old’ to become a yoga teacher?
Definitely not! Age doesn’t matter, as long as you are passionate about yoga. Age is just a number!
Do I need to be flexible?
No! We want to eliminate the discrimination within the yoga industry and work with you to remove obstacles and limiting beliefs that are preventing you from achieving your goals.
I have a busy schedule, how can I fit the YTT into my week?
The course is taught for two full weekend days a month, and Fridays 6-9PM over a ten month period. If you have any queries about this, please get in touch!
I want to study with you but don’t live in Nottingham/ can’t access the physical studio, can I still train to be a yoga teacher with you?
Yes! All of the training can be done online if you are unable to make it to the studio physically. Please contact us for more information on this.
Will I be qualified to teach straight after the course?
Yes! As soon as you graduate, you are fully qualified to teach.
Will I be ready to teach straight after the course?
As mentioned in the answer above, you will be qualified straight away. However, some students may take a little longer to feel confident enough to teach a class. During your training you will shadow our at1.SPACE teachers and help them deliver their classes to gain teaching confidence as well as having the opportunity to teach a full class by yourself post-graduation. It’s absolutely okay if you don’t feel confident enough to teach after your training, we will always be here to support you!
Does support from you end when the course ends?
No! We will always be here to support you following your training.
When will my certificate expire?
It won’t! Once you’re qualified, you’re qualified forever. This means if you don’t want to teach straight away after finishing the course, you don’t have to. You can begin teaching whenever you decide to!
Do I have to teach after I qualify?
No! Lots of students may complete their YTT as a way to deepen their understanding of yoga, and further their yoga journey. So although you will be qualified to teach, you don’t have to! As mentioned above, once you’re qualified you’re qualified for life, so if teaching isn’t in the near future for you, you can always change your mind later down the line and decide you do want to teach.
I want to study with you but I don’t know if I can afford it.
We have payment plans available, and also have an early bird offer and member discount. Our price is very competitive in the field!
