Yasmin and Mumtaz came together with a vision. They began delivering retreat-style yoga workshops 4 years ago. They saw each other’s differences and strengths and instead of feeling competitive, they let go of ego and focussed on enhancing and empowering each other. Whilst Yasmin’s focus in her yoga practice was in meditation and philosophy, Mumtaz’s was in anatomy and movement. These differences complimented one another, creating harmony and balance, something they deliver in their teachings, studio and workshops
With this connection, they founded their first project ˜Balance Your Being” and began delivering high standard yoga workshops across the country. The workshops placed an emphasis on students feeling safe, secure and nourished, something they have continued to focus on over the years of working together.
Yasmin and Mumtaz have worked closely together since then to create the at1.SPACE yoga studio and wellbeing centre, allowing individuals and the community to access yoga, mindfulness and meditation in a calm, warm and nurturing environment.
They pride themselves on making the practice of yoga inclusive to everyone.
